Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract with Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. The youngest participant in the 200 meters during the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title time and time again in 2007 by beating the long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes in each of her events.
