Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest winner of the 200 meters in the world championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title the following year, defeating the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her races.
